Welcome to Faguo's world !

Created in early 2009, FAGUO is a brand new sneaker. Despite the great number of competitors already present in the market, the trademark has proved that people should rely on it !
To understand the success the brand has met, let’s go back in time : 2 years ago, Nicolas and Frédéric, the 23 year old young creators had the idea to launch a shoe brand which values are style and responsibility during their semester of studies in China (the kingdom of sneakers).
This idea was born from the fact that sneakers are an institution in China. Every Chinese wears it, from the poorest to the richest people. Above that, the Chinese culture has inspired the brand name : FAGUO. It simply means « France » in Chinese. The two fellows have brought back this word that literaly means « country of laws and manners ».
Finally, the two creators who are still students, have always had the wish to undertake projects linked to fashion. The choice for sneakers has been obvious.

Still students at ISTEC, a business school specialised in marketing in Paris, they thought about this concept during nearly one year before registering the trademark.
It took them several months because of their huge amount of work shared between studies, thesis and the launching of the brand. A busy period that reached the climax in February 2009 during the first private sales ! What a success !
A good part of this success is due to their concept but also to Facebook which was their unique means of communication. Thanks to their friends networks and the controlled and optimum use of it (Faguo group, fan page), they have reached their target customers who are really receptive to this kind of communication. Then, the information was broadcasted on the Internet and on the blogs. Initially, the first stock (5 000 pairs of shoes were ordered) was suppose to last 6 months at least but actually everything was sold out in 3 weeks ! These figures show the keen interest for Faguo.
How did they design their models ? They gathered everyone's ideas and had trust in their friends' talents. They wanted the sneaker to be trendy, elegant, vintage but also to give another dimension to the brand.

Very early, Faguo has done what the other companies take 10 years to do : their carbon statement. By considering the report conclusions, faguo has noticed that the activity of the brand has a direct impact on the environment. To be in touch with the aspirations of an eco-conscious generation they have decided to plant a treee for each sold pair of shoes. It is the first concrete solution established by Faguo for a compensation act.
Faguo is not going to have a break. The next order will be transported by a canal boat from Le Havre to Paris in order to reduce noticeably the carbon emissions of a route usually taken by road transport. We have also diminished tl the maximum the excess packagings intended for the transport from China.
Concerning our production, our sneakers are made in China for the moment. One of the two creators still overlooks the production from China to control the quality and to ensure the good working conditions of their Chinese employees.
